LITTLE BIG THINGS is an E-book written by Bushra Shaikh. She is a blogger, writer, reader, and quite adventurous too. The book is a self-help manual that gives a nudge and reawakening on the issue of morals and values. It discusses how values like respect, compassion, generosity, honesty, and integrity is dwindling down drastically. This values worsens day by day and as individuals that make up the society, it behooves of us to play our parts in bringing happiness back by propagating kindness, truthfulness, tolerance, hardwork, and respect for human life.
Happiness they say can be found in little things, little things like caring for the poor or being polite to people that cross our path makes a whole lot of difference. Perfect happiness they say comes in sip and not in gulp. The author reiterates how the little things we often overlook affect all members of the society (kids, youth, the married, the old, the poor, and physically challenged). When you do a little good it gets passed on, that way the circle of goodness goes round everybody.
I particularly liked how the writer shared real life experiences and gave practical examples, it made the book more relatable. I also like that there was no unnecessary dragging, it was short, concise and the points were straightforward. However, I don’t quite agree with the writing style.
Overall the book was fantastic and I enjoyed reading it, there are lots of lessons therein. I look forward to her next book. I give this book a 4/5 stars. Do I recommend this book? Yes it is definitely worth reading. Teenagers, adult, young or old, in short anybody that is literate should read it! You can purchase “Little Big Things” on amazon for $2.50
